The one flavor that I quite don’t understand until now is the sugary flavor in Chinese-Indonesian food. Kaca Mata serves various meat – which had diverse taste to them – served with rice or noodles. The meat flavors were not that sophisticated nor deep but were good value worth. Pork belly chucks were juicy and crispy on the outside (just the wayI like), chicken was soft and well seasoned on the skin. The pink-ish duck was where it caught me by surprise. Sugary and unexpected for a Korean tongue. Well, don’t get me wrong, it was generally okay. The noodle version was better the rice one.
